I received a Jelt for free in exchange for my honest review.
I am so happy that I found out about Jelt. At first, I was skeptical, I thought it wasn't going to fit right or hold my jeans up. I was wrong because it does work. I guessed and chose the size M and I am happy with it. It has just enough tightness to hold your pants up and still feel comfortable.
On their website they state the following info about Jelt:
A comfortable belt made with recycled materials Super low profile: No buckle bulge Airport easy: Leave it on for security check Grippy: Inner gel holds on tight - See more at: http://jeltbelt.com/#sthash.ehdPGEce.dpuf
I love that it's made from recycled materials! I try to be green when I can and I feel good about wearing this product.
I have found that the claim is true, there is NO bulge at all!! I've worn the belt with jeans and shorts. I have had baggy shirts over it and fitted shirts and it looked fine!
The gel underneath the belt goes all along it and really keeps it in place. I did notice after wearing it all day with jeans, that my jeans felt lose and not as tight and comfortable as they were when I put the Jelt on in the morning, but it still held them up. No issues with the shorts though.
I love that the Jelt isn't poking into my skin when I lean over to lift my toddler up. She is constantly getting poked/scratched from my traditional buckled belt and I feel so bad, but with Jelt I don't have to worry about that. She climbed and tumbled all over me without a scratch :).
At first, I was extremely frustrated with putting the Jelt on because I couldn't get the interlocking piece to slide into eachother easily. I had the pieces perpendicular to eachother thinking I could slide them into eachother that way then snapping it down. I just realized the other day that I had been doing it wrong and all I needed to do was keep both pieces level with eachother and slide them together. It was so much better and I feel relieved knowing that one of my favorite belts is no longer a frustration!!
The Jelt is made for both men and women and they have a few colors to choose from. They can be seen on their website at www.jeltbelt.com.
The one I received is the light blue striped one (Sporty Blue) and it goes with more than I imagined I would, so I find myself wearing it quite often. I would love to eventually get the Modern Black and Denim Blue. I hope to see more colors and patterns in the future to choose from but right now, I think they have a pretty good start because most of them are neutral and would pair well with multiple outfits.
Jelt also donates 10% of their profits to a local charity called "Warriors and Quiet Waters".
I love when I see businesses donating to help with charities.
When purchasing from Jelt, you can feel good in taking part of it, too.
Here is a little info I pulled directly from the Warriors and Quiet Waters site.
Today
In 2014, WQW served 69 wounded warriors and 15 of their spouses bringing the total number served to 391.
In 2015, one of our programmatic strategies is to allow more warriors the opportunity to serve others as part of their healing process. Therefore, we will be bringing new warriors through the program, plus WQW alumni warriors accompanied by their spouses/caregivers and other WQW alumni warriors coming in to serve as companions to new warriors.
Mission
To help reintegrate traumatically combat-injured U.S. veterans and active service members from recent wars into society by building hope and resilience, facilitating camaraderie, and providing security and serenity through fly fishing and other high quality therapeutic recreational mediums in southwest Montana. VisionWe envision an America in which a new generation of traumatically injured combat veterans successfully reintegrates into society.
