Oxygenics Curve 4.5-in 2.0 GPM (7.6-LPM) Chrome 3 Spray WaterSense Rain Shower Head

I had the opportunity recently to review this shower head by Oxygenics in exchange for my honest review.  Below you will find out how I feel about it and product specifications/details from the Lowes website where I was directed if I knew someone who would like to purchase it.

So, I liked the idea behind Oxygenics and how it's supposed to give you the feeling of more power to your water pressure while saving money on water and energy costs. I have found that while the flow of the water coming from this shower head is nice, my previous one was alot more powerful. It just wan't energy efficient.

The shower head is actually made of plastic and I was expecting metal, just because of the way it looks. It feels durable and like it will last. The shower head is huge though!! I did have a little trouble with it knocking into the wall of my shower that has a bump coming outward where there is a cubby hole for shower products. I was worried about it scruffing it up but it didn't seem to bother it.

I actually procrastinated putting this shower head in my shower because it's something my husband would usually do. I gave in and tried it myself. I was impressed with how EASY it was to install. It even came with plumbing tape, so I didn't have to go through all of my husbands stuff in the garage looking for some.
I did find that it was a bit complicated to screw it onto the thread with the plumbing tape (even though it was tightly wrapped around it). I felt like I couldn't get it tight enough by hand and the installation instructions clearly states not to use tools but to only tighten by hand. I feel like I need some kind of tool to help tighten it more because while the shower head works just fine.... I am finding that water trickles out of the pipe where the shower head is threaded on. I am not sure if it's supposed to do that or not?

With the Oxygenics Curve shower head, came installation instructions. I really liked them because they were very detailed and had pictures that were clear. I was never left with " is this what it meant to do", because it was very clear.

The Oxygenics Curve shower head has three selections and has a tab/switch at the bottom of the head to change your option. They are not labeled and I wish they were but how hard can it be to remember which position is for which setting, right? The features on the box are listed as: Multi Oxygenics, Wide Stream, and Waterwall Spray. I'm not exactly sure which one is which. But I call the first option on the far right to be like rain. It's my preferred selection while taking my shower. I found that the middle selection was helpful when rinsing my hair; It's like a waterfall. However, it has the wide stream like a waterfall toward the top but by time it hits me, it's like a stream of water being poured on top of me.. Sometimes moving the shower head in a different angle will help and give me a better sensation of a water fall experience. This option is my toddlers favorite and she wasn't even willing to try the other options because she liked it so much. The third selection, all the way to the left, was quite the surprise when I flipped the switch. It blasted water straight in my eyes. This was not fun and I was worried that I lost one of my contacts. Thankfully I didn't. The solution to this one is to remember to angle the shower head down before flipping to the spray. Once I have a good angle on it, I have to tell you it really is amazing. It's a powerful mist like spray and it feels lovely. I liked letting it hit my back and letting it run through my hair.

When I first took the Oxygenics Curve Shower head out of the package I was concerned because it didn't have a hose attached to it and it didn't extend. I think I can get used to this option because it's really nice not having the hose hanging down and the options allow me to use different settings on my toddler when it needs to be more gentle. I use the waterfall option to fill up a bath pitcher to rinse the tub since I no longer can take the shower head off to rinse the tub.

There are a few adjustments I've had to make but overall, I am happy with it and it looks really cool.

Pros: It seems durable, 3 selections to choose from, easy to install, angle adjustable, use less water, energy cost is low

Cons:
leaks from pipe, not extended, tabs not labeled
