I'm so glad this company reached out to me. We only received this scooter a day ago, but my toddler loves it. She woke up this morning asking first thing if she can go out and ride it. The scooter is recommended for children from 3-5 years old. She will be 3 at the end of August, so this was great timing. We just got a little head start ;).
This scooter requires the child to lean in the direction that they want the wheels to turn. This concept is a little hard for my daughter to grasp, but after using it all afternoon yesterday she is starting to understand it A little more. It's unique and I like that. There are moments that you just wish you had the option to push a switch that would unlock it and allow for manual steering. Even though I think it's going to take some time for my daughter to understand how to make it steer correctly, it pleases me to see the confidence in her eyes and moves and motivation in wanting to go for a scoot!
This Tackedoo kids scooter is soooooo lightweight that it's not a pain to carry back and forth or lift it to put it on a shelf. One downside to that was that when my daughter leaned forward A little too much and took her eyes away from focusing forward, the scooter tipped forward and she fell with it. I was thankful to have a helmet on her. Kids are going to tumble and fall so it's not a huge concern as long as they are dressed appropriately.
The shipping was super fast and the customer service has been great! They have responded to my every question and in a favorable timely manner.
The installation process couldn't be easier!! It came with the handle bar post detached. We just had to snap it in!! It was ready to go in seconds! Which was great because I had an impatient toddler standing on my side!
The Tackedoo Scooter is super quiet when using it outside on the sidewalk compared to others. The wheels of this scooter is like a rubber and reduces the sound which I'm a big fan of, especially living in a neighborhood full of people. Even a friendly neighbor commented on how quiet it was.
Thank you Tackedoo USA for such a fun product!!
I do hope to see more color variations or patterns in the future just to give more of an option. I'd also like to see the platform a tad bit wider because there are moments that my daughter goes to put her foot on too quickly and slips off the side. If it were a little wider than that wouldn't be a concern. I just worry that she is going to miss it and put too much weight on the handles resulting in falling. Again, she has a helmet on and I plan on getting her knee pads so it should be fine.
I am just happy that there is a scooter out there that's small enough for my toddler to use and enjoy! My daughter is so happy with this scooter that she is begging to take it out now, so I better go!
I hope to get an adult scooter soon so I can scoot along with her!!
