Butler Boots are "designed to simplify life and bring a smile to your face".
These boots are wonderful because children can slip them on over their shoes for a quick overboot and waterproof protection.
Butler Boots sent me a pair to try out and share my honest opinion with my readers. I chose the Teal Tales blue because my daughter loves blue!!! They are available in a variety of colors that you can see, HERE. The sizes range from toddler/children's 8-12 and Youth 13 and 1-3.
We found that it was difficult to slip them on with my daughters shoes, but it wasn't a big deal, we just use them as rainboots. They come with a slipper inside that keep her feet warm. You can take the slipper out and try them on without the slipper over a shoe and it becomes an overboot. I think I probably just needed to order a bigger size in order for it to work for us but it didn't make them unusable! Butler Boots claimed that ordering up wasn't necessary, but I found that to be untrue in our experience. We love them either way.
If you are using them without shoes on already, they are super easy to slip on for my toddler. I'd imagine that if we had a bigger size it would also be easy because of the awesome fan front that stretches out like an accordion in order to accommodate slipping your foot in with a shoe on. I think the velcro closure across the top is neat too. I've never seen one like it before and it works so well.
My daughter tells me that they are comfortable and that she likes to wear them. She has worn them in snow and rain and they've been wonderful for her. However, when she jumps in muddy puddles with them on.... her little footsies still managed to get wet. Not a huge deal since the slipper boot can come out and air dry. The slippers inside of the boot are also machine washable. That's a huge plus for me! I love everything about these boots, but think that they would be a bit more productive if they came up alittle bit higher. They are certainly high enough to walk through puddles and in the rain though.
An interesting thing I noticed with these boots, that probably doesn't really matter, is that they smell really good. They have a sweet silicone smell. It actually took awhile for me to realize the scent was coming from these boots. I also love how they feel to the touch. They are soft... if you can imagine that. It reminds me of silicone sort of. The reason for this is because they use a special antimicrobial called Agion on them that makes them water proof and last longer.
I love that Butler Boots have designed a product "overboot" that can be worn in any season. So far, they've been very durable. My little one loves to just put them on and play outside in them and after months of using them they still look close to brand new and she's almost outgrown them (without the slipper).
If Butler Boots wants to recommend your childs current size and not order up, then I hope to see a bigger "fan" entry to help with the ease of putting the boot on over a shoe.
Oh! Another thing I really liked about Butler Boots was that they are slip resistant!! That's so important especially after playing in the rain or snow!
A few other favorites: They are made in the USA, lightweight, non toxic & Environmentally friendly.
I love the reason for their penguin logo! You can read about their loyalty, HERE! They also make a promise to take care of you like a butler, you can read about it HERE.
