Pee-kaboo sent me the Springtime Training sticker pack for free in exchange for my honest opinions and review.
The idea behind Pee-Kaboo is to make potty training fun and easy. When your child urinates onto the sticker (placed on the bottom of the potty bucket) an image appears (the warmth makes the picture appear). This is supposed to help encourage and motivate your child to use their potty. It's a special reward that they can be surprised by each time they go.
My toddler LOVES hers. So far we have only used the butterfly sticker. Pee-kaboo says they should last anywhere between 4-6 weeks. It's been about 3 weeks and its stuck on there like the day I applied it. Each time my daughter uses the potty, she calls for her Daddy or myself to come in and check out her butterfly. She said she has magic pee. I had to laugh out loud at that! I love that this alone is a treat and I don't need to use candy to motivate her. She loves regular stickers, but they got old after awhile. This sticker is really neat because the image disappears and looks like a black square after its cleaned and it is reusable.
The Pee-Kaboo sticker was super easy to apply. All you have to do is make sure the area you are sticking it to is clean and free of any debris and stick it on! Since they claim that these stickers can be used from 4-6 weeks, you should get about 3 months of rewarding potty training assistance per pack because there are 2 stickers that come in each pack!
The reusable Pee-Kaboo Potty Training Stickers cost $22.00 per package. It does seem a bit pricey at first but when you break it down and think about the use you will get out of it and minimizing the amount of frustration and additional rewards cost the traditional way, all of a sudden it doesn't seem so bad. Each Package includes: 2 Reusable Potty Training Stickers, A cute little guidebook for parents with advice, and a door hanger that says "I'm using the potty".
I love that they have two different sticker designs in each pack. Currently they only have two packs. One is the "Let's Roll" with a firetruck and a train, I think my daughter would have loved those too. The other is the one we received "Springtime" with the butterfly and flower.
I am hoping to see more of a selection in the future because I think it would fit a bigger audience and I do see this company expanding. What a wonderful idea!!! My daughter is already potty trained but really loves her reusable sticker!!
